BHAJA GOVINAM BHAJA GOVINDAM----[REPEAT]

WHO ARE YOU? WHO AM I? WHERE DID I COME? WHO  IS MY MOTHER? WHO IS MY FATHER? THUS ENQUIRE, LEAVING ASIDE THE ENTIRE WORLD-OF-EXPERIENCE [VISVAM], ESSENCE LESS  AND A MERE DREAMLAND, BORN OF IMAGINATION [SVAPNAVICHARAM].

INTRODUCTION : 6. 6.1 Taking the opening stanza as a refrain or chorus to be chanted for emphasis at the end of following verses, tradition has it that the immediately following twelve stanzas were given out by the Acharya himself. They together go under the name Dwadasa Manjarika Stotram. Very contagious must have been the Teacher inspired mood and the exploding poem, that each of his followers, at that time in his company, considered a stanza of his own, and they together stand under the title Caturdasa Manjarika Stotram. After listening to all verses, Sankaracharya blesses all true seekers of all times in the last four stanzas. 6.2 This set of thirty one stanzas, together titled Moha Mudgara, has been very popular in our country. AM. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Slokam -9 : Satsang Liberates Us SATSANG  NON-ATTACHMENT  NON-DELUSION  SELF-REALISATION  LIBERATION "Atsaṅgatve nissaṅgatvaṁ nissaṅgatve nirmohatvam | nirmohatve niścalatattvaṁ niścalatattve jīvanmuktiḥ." || 9 || ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Word Meaning: satsaṅgatve - through the company of the good, nissaṅgatvaṁ - (there arises) non-attachment, nissaṅgatve - through non-attachment, nirmohatvam - (there arises) freedom from delusion, Nirmohatve - through the freedom from delusion, niścala - Immutable, tattvaṁ – Reality, niścalatattve - through the Immutable Reality, jīvanmuktiḥ - (comes) the state of 'liberated-in-life'. ---------------------------------------

BALASTAVAT  =  So long as one is in one's childhood, KRIDASAKTAH  =  One is attached  to [towards] play, TARUNAASTAVAT  =  A youth [so long as one is in youth],  TARUNI  SAKTAH  =  Attached  towards young women [towards passion ], VRRDDHSTAVAT  =  So long as one is old  [an old man ], CCINTASAKTAH  =  One is attached , towards anxiety, PARAME  =  To the Supreme, BRAHMANI  =  Brahman[ Lord], KAH API  =  Any one [alas], NA  =  No [seen], SAKTAH  =  Attached. So long as one is in one's boyhood, one is attached to play; so long as one is in youth, one is attached to one's own woman [passion], so as one is in  long   old age, one is attached to anxiety [pang]---Yet no one, alas to the SUPREME  BRAHMAN, is [ever seen] attached!
