SISIRAVASANTAU  PUNARAYATAH

KALAH  KRIDATI  GACCHATYAYUH

TADAPI  NA  MUNCATYASAVAYUH.


DINAYAMINYAU = Day and night,

SAYAM = Dusk,

PRATAH = Dawn,

SISIRAVASANTAU = Winter and spring,

PUNARAYATAH = Again come [and depart],

KALAH = Time,

KRIDATI = Sports,[Play]

GACCHATYAYUH = Ebb away [goes away], life [breath],

TATAPI = And yet,

NA = Not,

MUNCATYASAVAYUH = Leaves the guest of desire.


Day and night, dawn and dusk, winter and spring, again and again come [and depart].
Time sports [plays] and life goes away. 
And yet, one leaves not the guest of desires.
Seek, Govinda.
